Episode 4: How to Build Meaningful Adult Friendships

In this episode of Being Yourself Loudly, Isabel is joined by her very good friend Michelle Huang to talk about all things friendships. In this episode we discuss what it means to make friends as an adult, how to keep and nurture friendships when it's not convenient, the importance of intentionality in friendships, and what to do when a friendship is no longer serving you. We also talk about where to actually meet friends as an adult! This is an important conversation and one that Isabel hopes everyone can resonate with.

There are a couple of corrections from this episode. The first is that I mention Brene Brown’s series ‘Atlas of the Heart’ and I mention that it is on Netflix but it is actually on HBO Max, my b! The next is that when I talk about “I Statements” I give an incorrect example. Here is the correct format of a great “I Statement”

I feel BLANK when BLANK because BLANK. What I need is BLANK.
