Hi! I’m Isabel, a writer, speaker, & multiple neurodivergent on a mission to be my most authentic self in the hopes of inspiring others to embrace their true selves.

Since I was a child I have lived with anxiety, depression, and a variety of other diagnoses. Through my work, my mission is to educate and inspire young people on the importance of true inner self-care to learn how to work with your mental illness, instead of against it.

Being Yourself Loudly

Hosted by queer mental health advocate and women’s mag writer Isabel Mata, Being Yourself Loudly illuminates the beautiful and chaotic path of becoming the best version of yourself, even if your brain is a bit chemically imbalanced.

What I Do

I love making the intangible tangible for people and brands whose values I align with, like sustainability, mental health, feminism, and education. Whether it’s a story, a bold presentation, or a photoshoot, I bring a spunkiness and fresh perspective that 100% me to every collaboration.

Offerings

  • My work has appeared in a broad range of national magazines, newspapers, and online outlets, including but not limited to Cosmopolitan, Yahoo, and Elite Daily. I am currently working on my debut book, Invisibly Unwell, a nonfiction self-help book aimed to help people with mental illness live more mindfully. See my work.

  • I am a creative director and producer rooted in the big idea, from concept to execution. With my experience in the consumer space, I bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to solve problems creatively while blending seamlessly with your team's operational needs. My work is new, creative and beautiful, and always consumer-centric. Every mood board or concept begins with the question: “what does this consumer need to make them feel seen?” I value authenticity and boldness and help make the intangible, tangible.

  • As a brand consultant, I take inspired ideas and turn them into a map for success that includes the brands values, needs and desires. I work best with women entrepreneurs who are energized, motivated, and want to make an impact but need help building their vision to life, both tangibly (either a road map or written word) or intangibly (inner clarity).

  • Hosted by queer mental health advocate and women’s mag writer Isabel Mata, Being Yourself Loudly illuminates the beautiful and chaotic path of becoming the best version of yourself, even if your brain is a bit chemically imbalanced. • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • “Working with Isabel at Urban Decay has been an absolute joy. Not only does she have an impressive background in Marketing, Digital Strategy and Copywriting, she also has an amazingly positive attitude. Despite any challenges she always pushes to meet deadlines and can be relied on to get the job done. She conducts herself with confidence and kindness and would be a great asset to any organization.”

    — Kristen Mahoney, Senior Creative Operations Manager at Urban Decay Cosmetics

  • “Isabel and I were fast friends as soon as she walked into the office. She is such ray of light that you can't help but smile when she's around. Not only is she such a kind hearted person, she's is incredibly dedicated to her work and does whatever it takes to get it right. She has asked me numerous times how to do something, instead of asking for me to do it for her. She not only wants to get the job done well but also wants to know how to do the job better. She is driven, ambitious, and anyone would be lucky to have her on their team.”

    — Amina Khan, Art Director
