Brand Messaging & Production Case Study #1
In December 2021, KOKOLU, a sustainable lifestyle brand, came to me looking for a brand messaging strategy that would set the narrative for their company across all of their communication, taking their existing messaging and refining it for a US audience. Upon completion of this ask, the brand hired me to produce and direct my own KOKOLU photoshoot, showcasing the brands new visual identity.
My Process
After doing competitive research on other sustainable brands (All Birds, Everlane, Veja, etc), I did a deep dive into the target consumer (gen-z) and came up with the unique concept below.






Next Steps
The brand was so happy with the concept and guidelines I created that they then asked me to produce and direct a campaign for new brand visuals. As producer and creative director, my duties ranged from hiring the creative team and models to managing and directing the actual photoshoot.

The Results
Given my brand marketing experience working with D2C sustainable brands, KOKOLU came to me looking for: A brand story, updated website copy and design, social media and email marketing messaging guidelines. At the end of our time working together, they left with all of that PLUS a brand new visual identity to help them engage and convert US consumers. They believed in my vision for the brand and trusted me enough to bring it to life and I couldn’t be more grateful!
